He voted for Rick Santorum in the Republican primary.

She doesn't work much when she's cast, either.

Yep. Bridesmaids could have been a full out downer drama with a few minor changes.

Malvo will have a hard time being the devil, being dead and all.

Yes, but it's also a character singularly defined by an old, tired joke about government pencil pushers, and the show seems better than that.

Moe's poor characterization is a function of story and is a dead horse at this point. And while I think Varga has been shaded in other ways, I'm not sure he's entirely human anyway.

Maybe you misunderstood. I'm saying that these character initially seem like absurd caricatures but Hawley slowly layers and humanizes them.

His low-budget stuff is shit, too.

I'll stick with the greatest living filmmaker over the woman from real estate website commercials, thanks.

I get the feeling that Nikki and Wrench are getting supernatural help on things like Meemo's vantage point. I'm also not beyond the idea of Varga being a supernatural creature himself, given tonight's line about good and evil.

I thought he lapsed into Scottish a few times tonight

Ha! I thought you genuinely misread it.

Yep, it's a literal deus ex machina.

It said "Paper Weight"

In a show so well known for painting subtle portraits of superficially absurd characters, the broad OCD joke that is the IRS agent has worn out very quickly.

You're free to dance around in a cow suit too but it won't make me take you any more seriously. And considering you don't seem to understand that the nature of politics is inherently subjective, I'd be tilting at windmills continuing to engage you.

The people angry about my comment are the only ones mentioning gender. I never did.

Compare Kamala Harris with Tom Cotton and contrast them both with Angus King. Cotton and Harris both treat every public hearing as a chance to strut and preen for the cameras—it's all about holding court as opposed to seeking actual answers. Every moment is a "campaign" moment as opposed to actual legislative work.

She isn't more ambitious than some of them. Still trying to make this a gender thing. That didn't work for Clinton either.

Oh, piss off with your misogyny-baiting bullshit. It's not a good look for any legislator.
