He should have been let go a long time ago for being a terrible analyst—you know, something that actually matters when you work for a sports network.

Maybe in real life, where it's easier to see when someone has simply walked away.

Oh, well, nothing left to continue responding to in the smoldering ruins of your arguments.

Fine where I said he shouldn't have been fired at all. Please.

His post still didn't address ESPN's smug false piety. I was simply pointing out how much smarter he sounds than virtually everyone else here.

Imagine the kind of person who thinks it was meant to sound "badass" instead of simply stating a fact.

Yeah, show me where I did that instead of mocking ESPN for their false piety.

Those gloves were taken off some time ago, and not by me.

You're confusing not debating well with not expending more energy than I need to.

Are you angling for "Densest Person On The Internet" or something?

If I had the capacity for embarrassment I probably wouldn't be talking to you in the comment section of an AV Club article. So whatever it says about me goes for you too.

Glad to see you think "I'm having to restrain myself from possibly committing vehicular manslaughter" is a nominally left-of-center statement.

As the captain for more than three years of a squad that went to the state finals, I definitely made people uncomfortable. Typically our opponent.

This is a reasonable post. You probably won't last long around here. :-)

Since the ad hominems have come out, let me try to drill this through your prissy little peabrain: NONE of my comments were in any way meant as a defense of Curt Schilling. They are a repudiation of ESPN's hypocrisy and obvious disdain for their viewers. It is almost universally agreed that Schilling was an awful…

It wasn't intended as a burn. I genuinely hope you never fucked up other kids chances of winning by being on their team.

Ad hominems come out. I win again.

I hope you were never on debate team in school. You are terrible about projecting objective arguments onto a person's own beliefs. I personally don't give a shit where people piss.

The point is what the statement DID say, which was false, not what it didn't say.

If you honestly believe that protections for trans people are something Democrats have been intersted in since time immemorial, I want some of what you are smoking. Right wingers, on the other hand, have a long tradition of opposing blanket protections for minority groups.
