Let's say that I'm WAY too ADD for RTS games, but enjoy the genre; would the pacing of Civilization be more my speed?

No love for Pam having to wash the cement out of her hair?

I've been killing the flies in my house with a Nerf Maverick all weekend. While woefully inefficient, it's definitely a good time. Not sure if I have fruit flies or house flies, though.

Do zombie movies count as fantasy? Because Mekhi Phifer helping his zombified girlfriend give birth to a zombified baby in the "Dawn of the Dead" remake needs a shout-out if they do.

I think I need to leave my wife more notes that don't involve grocery requests.

@Relbelle: Average Joe and Jane Moviegoer aren't automatically idiots. A lot of them (or "us", I guess) just have limited time for moviewatching; that doesn't mean they want to watch crap, just that it's pretty easy to not want to bother with a Swedish movie (that, apparently, has messed up subtitles on the U.S. DVD)

@mordicai: I believe that he actually has told Colleen that she needs to "get over it". Which is probably not the correct approach for saving one's marriage (if that's the goal).

She wanted to be a WAG and so she started hanging around with Bolton players? That's where things went wrong right there, methinks.

That wall looks like it's lined up way further than ten yards away from the kick.

@ryoshi: I'll have to try it out; I'll have a D&D fest this weekend, too, as I just finally got ToEE.

The number stations have been freaking me out ever since I heard about them in "Big Secrets", and I've never even heard one. Just the fact that they're out there is eerie.

The entire QFG series was fantastic; you're exactly right that those games (and Betrayal at Krondor) pioneered the Elder Scrolls' ability advancement system, but they were also full of injokes. Loved those games.

Wait...D&D Online is free?

Hey now. Cleveland doesn't need more cheap shots.

Arcanum was a fantastic concept absolutely ruined by terrible design; the skills were unbalanced, the game itself was buggy, and the whole thing ultimately didn't work. I wanted that game to be so awesome, and it just wasn't. So sad.

@jspamax: To be fair, those were more adventure games than RPGs.

On Baldur's Gate: you could really only create one character (you could pretend you were playing multiplayer and make a whole party, but you lost out on Minsc and the whole rest of the lot). Where would that game be without key NPCs? Most of Baldur's Gate 2 was spent looking for Imoen (or wandering around Amn while

That Nerf Fencing set was DEFINITELY around well before 1998; I graduated high school in '98, but I remember playing with those swords in 4th grade or so. I think I even wrote about them in a paper or something around that time.
