If you’re going to say that “The Blockchain” stores these links, could you not equally validly say that “The web” or “The internet” does the same? If Bitcoin has to be forced to shut down over this, shouldn’t everything else as well?

That’s right, there are a lot of people out there who believe that supporting policies or expressing views that have nothing whatsoever to do with race are somehow indicators that someone is a racist.

Google Home has Shortcuts you can setup so you can say “OK Google, Turn on the TV” and it know you mean “Tell Harmony to turn on the TV”

There’s certainly been a lot more of some people claiming other people are racists based on extremely broad definitions of the idea. Actual racists....I rather doubt that.

people always seem to hate the phrase “Ignorance is Bliss” yet it’s completely true. Back in the day (by that i mean pre-internet and instant news day) you only worried about the stuff that affected you. Your job, your family. Maybe what your local town/city government is doing or something.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, it still takes a degree of wisdom and maturity to confront your own biases.

Human society is not a natural system. It’s constructed by human beings with the ability to reason, which means that as it “decays” we can sustain and expand it. Yes, one day the universe will end, and before that it may no longer support life, but we’re obviously nowhere near that point.

Every single Gizmodo, Jezebel and Splinter writer could stand to read this one.
