They paid 78k including tax (roughly 4.5k of that was tax assuming no trade). This would put the car at roughly 73500. Insurance companies don’t pay out dealer sale value, they don’t pay out wholesale value. To think they the car should be worth 74-78k from the insurance company is asinine! That’s not how it works.

Normally I’d agree but in this particular case, it was a pretty tame pass. The bowl turns on that track were making for a lot of these types of passes.
