regardless of what someone says or doesn't say, there is so much information out there on every make and model of car that if you are going out and spending 5 figures on a car based SOLELY on what you're told by someone else the only thing you can blame is your own stupidity. If you need a certain towing capacity,…
I've been saying something similar to this ever since I first saw it years ago at the philly auto show. I remember thinking this thing looks awsome and it must have incredible performance. I did some hunting online and found videos of it being easily beat by a GTR for 1/4 of the price tag. Hell if they were priced…
not sure which bikes you've been riding. I have a '98 EXC that started its life as a team KTM enduro championship bike and then has been beat to hell by me since 2000. The only problem I have ever had is my fork seals wearing out over time. Hell my dad has one too. Ran a 98mile enduro with me with almost no oil in the…
no, I'm in sales in the philadelphia area. I just enjoy sometimes looking at the products that they seem to refuse to send our way from time to time.
David Higgins did the exact same thing earlier this year as part of the rally america championship as well. If I remember correctly he didn't really lose any time off of his lead during that stage either.
It must be a Japanese thing. I work for Subaru and was playing around on their Japanese site and found multiple items such as shirts and mugs that said...in english mind you..."I'm a Subaruist"
or for a subaru....around $800. Holdback on most new subaru vehicles is floats around the high 400 to mid 600 range based on the model. Plus 220 per vehicle stocked. Incentives may vary and towards the end of a model run subaru may give several hundred to dealers to further mark down cars below invoice but 9 out of…
I have to agree with you here as well. I've seen a lot of shady shit being done by other local dealers. any time someone asks me for a price I give them their total cost out the door. All tags and fees included. All too often I see dealers quote a purchase price and that's it. no other charges. hell I've seen dealers…
also this. abnormally high or low mileage cars are a nightmare to try and value. KBB comes in all over the board...sometimes way low or astronomically high. Another thing to take into account....if carfax says your car has an accident that has to be taken into consideration. It doesn't matter if you know someone…
yes yes yes 1000x yes to this....we had a lady in with an old gm (forget the model) that had 162k miles on it....kbb said her trade in value on it was 10k and that we could RETAIL the car for 18k. She was refusing to take less than 10 because KBB said so. It got to the point where we had to ask her "KBB says we can…
nope....it's a jeep thing. I have an '09 JKU sport and my friend that I go off-roading with has '12 JK rubicon. Both of us while at a gas station had this discussion. Not only does the gas spit back but it is prone to overflow on ours as well.
a little more auto news for you...though nothing quite groundbreaking. Subaru announced the updates for their '15 Impreza. They've informed us on the dealer level that orders are due to open December of '14.
the edges are a little ragged but it's almost like having a pool noodle carved down to an edge. We have about 5 or 6 of these so after our last PA winter they've each cleaned probably around 100 cars per and are ready for this coming year. It's well worth it.
Winter is coming, and this tool can scrape ice off your windshield AND push snow off your hood and roof. You might not need it today, but you'll be happy you got it in a few months. [Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom with Ice Scraper, $13]
Typically with Subaru the best lease rates are 36, 39 or 42 months. Rates begin to spike beyond that. I'll usually pass along this information to a customer who is simply shopping for the "best lease price" just in case they would rather not lease for a 3 and a half years but most of the time the difference between 36…
lol no, I'm the only one with a jeep at my dealer. I'm in the philly area
I would think that even that would be very easy to miss. I used to own a chopper which had quite a bit of vibration to it when idling/riding, a pin fell out of my watch band (a pretty heavy watch mind you) over the course of a 200+ mile ride and I never noticed until the very end when I went to check the time.
