+1. I do not auto-pay any bill. I have calendar reminders set in my phone, on Google calendar, and on my work PC. I feel much more in control when paying them every month.

My mortgage is on autopay, and has been for 14 years. Number of times the mortgage was sold to a new servicer, or we moved? Over 5. Number of times I've ever had a problem? Zero.
