I’m not going to pretend to know why Nintendo is choosing to market it the way they are. I believe the teaser was so Nintendo could control how the reveal went as opposed to it being leaked from their investor meeting. But, from the amount of buzz the reveal made, I would say it was a good plan.

This is an interesting article, and something I had never thought about. When solid NX rumors started coming out and hinting that it would be what the Switch is, I stated that it is basically everything I always wanted in a console.
