I don’t think it is ever explicitly stated that the Kais were murdered. After all, zamasu hates wants to get rid of humans, not just everything. He would have not reason to even worry about the other Kais, because they wouldn’t be strong enough to stop him, or even Beerus, because he is probably asleep.
