He was the battlefield leader of a bunch of pissed off, dysfunctional superhumans. Of course he was a dick sometimes.

Now there’s the utterly crap misguided thinking from Mangold that we know and love! Logan had nothing close to this kind of relationship with Jean, so for him to say it only makes him sound like a nutjob.

Jean was his obsession and stalking victim. I think saying she wasn’t his anything glosses over the ultra-creepiness of the movie depiction.

It’s been said, but really.... At least in the movies, Logan just comes across as a teenage stalker (at best) with regards to Jean. So glad this didn’t make it, always a sore spot for me.

I can’t. They just repeatedly killing mutants that people love just so Hugh Jackman can emote.

Good. I hated the love triangle, because they threw Cyclops under the bus. In the comics he is so much more than “guy standing in the way of Logan and Jean”.

Does anyone else feel like Cyclops has gotten the short end of the stick in the films?

That whole section of the film is its biggest mistake. Yes, it was inherently a good idea to give viewers a respite, and to show how normal lives can be lived. But to then slaughter all these characters, expressly because of Logan’s recklessness - seriously, did he not know that they were being tracked? - just betrays

I gotta give it another viewing but I didn’t fall in love with it like a lot of people did. I admired it immensely. Taking risks. Trying to do a superhero movie strictly for adults. Giving finality to Xavier and Logan. I’m thrilled for its success because hopefully studios will take more chances with established

I give it 5 years until they recast a younger actor in the role. and that’s me being generous. They won’t leave him dead for too long.

Walking out of the theater last night, my fiancee stopped me dead by saying that it was her least favorite X-Men movie (this doesn’t mean “the worst X-men movie” at all, before I get spammed with those comments).

(and whatever the hell happened at Westchester, which if you’ll remember is where the Xavier Institute was, so it was probably something real grim)

Okay, let’s get into it!

whatever the hell happened at Westchester

My toddler likes watching cars and trucks go, so when we can’t head downtown to sit on a bench and watch them, this movie is a good distraction. My wife and I ask each other these questions a lot. Also, questions like: “Why does Anna suddenly get power when Elsa flees? Shouldn’t she have to wait until she comes of age

Except, of course, you were watching a LEGO Batman movie, which exists within the context of the wider LEGO Movie setting, in which characters from all kinds of franchises are aware of one another’s existence but live separately in their own regions of Finn’s basement.

I’d like to take this moment to thank the universe for allowing me to be born into a family that is not completely and irrevocably insane. I consider it the single greatest gift I have ever received.

This ain’t got nothin’ on Everything Is Awesome. The friend song is too generically pop. The only good bit is the batman rap break.

And a follow up show that was in a similar time slot.... The Lost World

I gave up on True Blood after season 1, not because I didn’t like it, but because I knew it was going to be a hot mess and not in a good way. Meredith’s recaps were the best, though.
