I just really appreciate that you summed up the plots of the first two movies as I have absolutely no memory of them at all, though I’m pretty sure I saw them both.

It’s pretty good it you like long, historical books. Then it goes completely bonkers in the end and, for as drawn out as the rest is, the ending is incredibly rushed.
