Biggest problem with Love & Thunder was that there was zero emotional impact at all. It’s about a man who’s reunited with the love of his life, only to discover that she’s dying. That should be a helluva story; instead it was just the basis for a bunch of gags. Waititi’s approach to Ragnarok worked because it was as

In the end the person I was most happiest for was Frank Darabont. Gave me a little smile every time I saw his name was still in the credits and thought of what they had to pay him.

I’ll never forget watching the first season of this show. It was incredible- so good even my wife wanted to watch. Talked about in every office lunchroom.

It'll rise again in popularity someday.

Finally.  Gotta say, I’m pretty bored of the whole zombie thing.  It’s been done to death.

A short containing some or all of Grogu’s journey from the Jedi temple to a heavily guarded compound in a random desert seems like a logical guess. Studio Ghibli strikes me as having the kind of artists who could tell a deep, involved story with minimal dialogue.

The film was good but every time Lupita was onscreen is just emphasized that moving Letitia Wright into the marquee role was the wrong decision. She isn’t terrible, but for me at no point did either the actress or the character feel remotely convincing as the savior of Wakanda. She just doesn’t carry any gravitas,

“Nakia’s story is completed in the credits.”

So is it just me, or the Marvel Special Presentation are basically prestige-sized one shot graphic novels, but in film form?

It was also a kind-of apology to 5-8 who didn’t get a moment in the 50th they should have. Being an Old Who fan, the moments between Tegan/5 and Ace/7 were especially touching and as much as I’ve criticized Chibnall for his writing, I have to tip my hat for that.

I’m glad this probably means Peacemaker is safe, but damn it, all I really care about is the safety of Doom Patrol. At least I know we’re getting one more season in the next couple of months, but the amount of non-attention it gets, despite being the best superhero show on television is extremely disheartening.

Oh thank god. I mean it could’ve been any other streaming service, but at least it’ll reliably come to SOME streaming subscription service.

Hope it’s not just the new episodes

Remember when David Tennant got turned into Dobby but then got better because Martha Jones traveled the world to convince people to believe in Fairies- er, the Doctor, and when they all clap at the same time he turns back into a normal Doctor and the day is saved?

“When are we getting the X-Men?”

It worked.

Better group of children telling scary stories, the Midnight Club or the Midnight Society?

It’s interesting to see the same person playing the same character under two different interpretations. The Netflix show was good but definitely very into brutal violence, there’s just no way that that would go on Disney+. Flips and acrobatics and knocking dudes out with a single punch is definitely more their cup

I’m also not quite sure why we’re supposed to believe there’s this massive amount of misogyny aimed at She Hulk in a world of at least dozens of female superheroes.

Definitely not a fan of the “ketchup and mustard” costume, at least compared to his other suits. Hopefully he goes back to his crimson and black suit in his upcoming show.

I’m so tired of gritty = good. The Netflix show was great but it hardly featured Matt in the courtroom, which is a pretty bad adaptation choice for a show about a blind lawyer/vigilante.
