So, automotive engineer here (though, I don’t do engine work so...just to be transparent).

Tl;dr: Regulations. That said, Electronic sensors, high tech simulation, sealing tech, and lubrication tech are probably the biggest reasons mercedes can make the M139.

Regulations are the main reason for European

So what about an automatic 300cc motorcycle? I’m developing one now...

So then...who would be interested in an automatic 300cc motorcycle? I’m developing one now...

Nothing about roborace is going to be “done perfectly every time”...ever.

That’s the whole thing about RACING - that you’re always looking for an advantage.

Teams will always be looking to be faster whether that’s bending the rules (creatively) or tire/battery management (which has lead to some AWESOME racing in Formula

Seen too many comments complaining about “MIATA DUH!”, BRZ, 370 or GTI...

If you just google “reliable sporty cars” these will all show up (link below)...what if I wanted something interesting, unique, and can’t find just by “getting lucky” by Google? That’s why people come here...duh...btw, LOVE the Sera...never heard

Just moved back to the States after living in Shanghai for a bit.

Because 4wd is more than 2wd...hence, better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How is heel-toeing on the stree “increasing wear”? Because I revved the engine a tiny bit?

If anything it’s decreasing wear on the clutch by reducing the speed difference in the input and output shafts of the tranny.

Yes and no.

While engine braking has literally nothing to do with the clutch (if it can’t handle that, you should definitely have it replaced), 80k lb vehicles use a different kind of engine braking...check it out below.

To quote our Supreme Leader, “WRONG”. Nothing in this article is right except for advice about engaging the clutch “not too fast, not too slow”. Thanks Einstein...

...you try again...

The auto companies “paid it back” at the cost of 9.3BB (yes, with a “B”illion) to the taxpayers ie. uncle sam.

Perhaps the better comparison is if you want $75,000 to upgrade...whatever...in your small business and getting $25,000 in breaks to do it.

If we adjust for time as well...then make that over 3.5 years and it’s roughly $7,150 per year in breaks. Not bad.

Handouts to big companies like this are ABSOLUTELY worthless...they cost the community up to millions of dollars per job and when the free money stops rolling in, the mega-corporation will move their headquarters elsewhere.

Ford is holding Detroit hostage...we’ve seen how this has played out before and it didn’t end

All gone @$38...

Edit: Well, guess they found some more stock or fixed the error...just added to my cart.
