As a Lyft driver, I’d argue that 75% of my passengers are poor and working class people who can’t afford a car. Many of their jobs aren’t served by mass transit and/or the bus is too unsafe or slow.
I drive for Lyft and overwhelmingly most of my passengers are low-income riders who can’t afford a car. They feel that Lyft is faster and safer than the bus.
You also have racists, soup tossers, and phone thieves. All in one video no less. Don’t sell the subway system short!
