Agreed, and just to be clear I am no way a fan of EA. To your point there are many, many valid reasons to dislike EA but if Anthem and Andromeda (and even Inquisition really) exposed anything its that Bioware had a massive project management problem.

I think it's more problematic that you're conflating cartoons with real women than it is to be perturbed that there's anime boobs and bunny girls on boxes for fucking headphones. The headphone art is a dumb thing to be upset about, even if it's existence is profoundly stupid but your particular conclusion from this

I know it’s easy to blame EA, but Anthem was Casey Hudson’s next project after Mass Effect 3 and he ran it until 2014. The biggest misstep for EA was pushing Frostbite, but the person behind that initiative is no longer there.

My bet would be on the Thorondil/young Aragorn series. That said, I would really like a miniseries or something on the lead up/resolution of Sauron’s attack on Erebor. It’s connected to the stuff people know, and the Dain/Bard friendship would be great to see get development.

I got a Community notification for this?!

And him basically pulling one over on Avasarala in the pursuit of doing what is right is like how the show fucking ends things. Do these people even watch the shit they reference? That show opened with her illegally torturing someone.

I really hope they go this route, assuming this actually happens. There’s no need to recast them. I don’t see any reason why they can’t do a soft reboot or continuation with POC actors playing new leads.

This is one of the most objective and comprehensive synopsis of this thing I've seen, and I thank you for it. I also appreciate that your TLDR is the long part.

Oh no! What ever will we do without this game industry and press circle jerk?!

All states, except Montana, are. I don’t think the blame lays solely with the right-wing on this one.

So to clarify that a bit, Lucas was involved with the writing side of Empire, just not the actual filming/production side. That said, he also brought on Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan to handle writing and rewriting, expanding and tweeking on his ideas, ect. This is in a noticeable contrast to the prequels, for

I mean that’s the worst kept secret of Star Wars. George Lucas is a mediocre director who can’t write dialogue. The first movie was saved by editing which was basically taken out of his hands, he wasn’t involved with Empire really at all, and ROTJ clearly has the marks of heavier Lucas involvement.

Especially in an article that is specifically for a ‘spin off’ game. If this was the article about how you’re not getting laid in Starfield and someone spoiled a plot point of Persona 5, that’s a more legitimate complaint.

Clarification to my reply: apparently Fallout 4 was listed with sex as moderate impact (but no nudity?) so there might be some truth woven into the article

Its been a while since I played Fallout 4 but it had like ‘romance’ plots but not explicit nudity, yah? So like the article is less “nobody gets laid”, which could happen, and more “there’s no explicit fucking”? It’s really confusing that they’ve conflated what is in most media often unrelated.

John Cena, although I say that tepidly, might go more Bautista than The Rock. He seems willing to do stuff that’s still in his wheelhouse but also gives him room to actual act, such as Peacemaker.

These banks do not have to abide by Dodd Frank, which did cover a lot of the issues SVB was facing. Too bad we defanged it in 2018

Well, some of them. When the most viewed news channel is also the propaganda arm for a specific party, that tends to get muddled.

My interpretation of it was that the author didn’t really matter, but the female character’s existence in the scene was not to display her own agency or interests, but instead using her own screen time and dialogue to give a different (male) character’s interests.

Was Snape worse to Harry in the books? I only begrudgingly saw the movies like a year ago and he didn’t come across as overly awful to me, but I assume that it was lessened somewhat compared to the novels?
