You replied to me on the original news article and helped provide some context and a viewpoint closer to the industry, so starred for the continued offering of insight!

I think you’re overestimating the exposure he’s giving himself. And if he’s in on it, then she wouldn’t need to doctor anything. The narrative that I’m aware of is her marital status came kind of out of nowhere. Her being ‘available’ is part of the draw. So that just adds to the weirdness of how this all unfolded.

If I remember correctly, and please tell me if I’m wrong, but the dog killing threat was something she brought up on the phone/stream and he was denying he made those threats. Again could be wrong but I don’t think that he threatened anything while on the stream.

As garbage as that movie is, when he showed up at the end and there were those little notes of the Williams’ theme in the score, I sat up a bit in the theater. It wouldn’t have worked as well with all the ridiculous nonsense going on in the Snyder Cut, but while that version is ‘better’ I found myself missing the

That is kind of in line with what I’m thinking too. I would not be surprised at all that she was getting the lower side of the pay scale. She’s not really a recognizable name, which is absolutely not her fault. It just strikes me as a company paying the least they can get away with and then an actor trying to use

Well that was more just a random number I tossed out. I’m not sure if there’s any accuracy to it. That said, since you’ve clearly had experience with it, does 4k for that work fall in line with industry norms? Is the VA trying to demand (perhaps not unreasonably) a premium because they ‘found the voice’ of the protag?

I think the other VAs talk about his pay is worth noting as well. If its based on an hourly rate, like in studio hours, that can change the calculation. If its like 80 hours of in studio work, 4k really isn’t that bad.

That's the smart way to play it all. I'm not saying the show is being stupid and I'm still desperately trying to give it a chance so here's hoping that's what they do for both!

I mean they woke the Balrog up a few thousand years before the source material, so who knows anymore. I hope Celeborn is still alive though. Otherwise the show is skewing incredibly, incredibly hard away from ‘adaptation’ and into ‘billion dollar fan fiction’.

98. 1 would be furious about the Chris Pratt casting and 1 would be confused because Bob Hoskins has been dead for almost 10 years.

While I don’t like the show, I think you’re probably not gonna get much out of your request. The racist backlash against this show is a minority, but it’s not just a few people here and there. There’s quite a lot of it going around, especially in places where hardcore fans tend to hang out (forums and LOTRO is where

You are inadvertantly describing the landscaping job I had in high school in West Texas :p

Well, fellow-internet-rando-who-just-doesn’t-know-what-they’re-talking-about, literally every single competitive sport, job, or general venture works like this. Chess isn’t unique and in chess, like all the others, your feeling, alone, doesn’t mean anything. That also doesn’t mean his feeling was wrong or not

He didn’t actually deliver any information though, did he? Not until much much later and even that was just his ‘feeling’. Other people brought up Hans’ unlikely rise, and Chess.com is the one delivering this information. Would this have happened if Carlson hadn’t been cryptic and coy about it? Yes. He’s the top of

Great writing is a considerable stretch with Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully with the sequel they can come up with a plot that isn’t boring, disconnected from the actual gameplay, and slightly less cliched.

I’m not a fan of this show but yeah. Like I had someone go on a screed in LOTRO about black <insert fictional race here>. It’s disgusting. Like pacing and plot and what not, that’s something people can have a discussion about. But there’s none of that in an IGN comment section. I’m sorry you delved into those depths.

No mention of Streets of Fire?!

Ah yes. The multi-billion dollar revenue generating industry just desperately needed those extra ten dollars in order to innovate. It’s not at all as if economies of scale is in effect in the production of games, or the vastly expanded audience wildly offset development costs. Just look at the movie industry. Ticket

This for real. Right now he just sounds like a sore loser. Without proof, it sounds like he got beat and doesn’t like it so he’s crying about it. If he had an actual suspicion, there’s ways to get those investigated that don’t involve behaving like a petulant child.

I ran it on PC and while I had a few bugs nothing was game breaking. Everytime I saw something, it was non-intrusive enough for me to go ‘well this’ll get patched’. Only exception was I think a mission critical tank was stuck inside a building at the end so I couldn’t blow it up but I just restarted the mission and it
