Viewing replies to my comments has become a chore.

The design will still be shitty even in a few more hours. Disqus, while not great, worked from the moment I started using it. This doesn’t even allow the double space to make a period shortcut on iPhone.

But they need that space just in case they decide to get a pool table.

It doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be good. Growing accustomed to shitty design doesn’t make the design less shitty.

Is this really what the AV Club has become?

When I tried to star your comment, I got kicked to an unrelated story. Hopefully the star found its way to you anyway.

I’m talking about the message box remaining open with the loading animation going even after the success message pops up. Then when I go to make another comment, it warns me that my other post will be lost.

You have to hover over the post, click on the three dots, then click follow. Whether or not that actually works remains to be seen, but rest assured knowing that the Kinja Tech Team™ is working on it.

Do you or somebody you know personally work for the media group responsible for Kinja? You sound like a PR bot.

Hard to tell. Are you the first, or are the other comments hidden away? I don’t know.

I have a question: Why does Kinja pretend that my post is still in process of going through even when a message pops up on the side of the screen telling me that it went through?

Better in what way? Lack of chronology? Having to make several clicks to read a discussion? Having to link your social media just to be able to log back in?

That’s one way to get clicks, I guess.

You are stuck in the Grey Lodge, so I had to click an extra button to see you.

How do I get back to the homepage from here without having to type the URL into the browser?

I had to click an extra button just to see your post.

At least The Onion is still pure... for now.

I see you’ve encountered the “Publish button that seemingly does nothing” issue.

Oh, so the previous comments didn’t merge. Or maybe they’re in the process? I don’t know. This new site feels like a huge step backwards in order to achieve corporate synergy that only benefits the company and not the users.
