Once all imports into the US are banned, the 1% will be able to drink coffee grown in Hawaii. For the rest of us: Postum.

Someone at Sundance has a (metaphorical and possibly literal) boner for Lynskey; last year they gave her a Best Actress prize for Intervention, a lame movie in which she was only sort of amusing, and now this. Am I missing something? She was great in Heavenly Creatures, but that was 20+ years ago. Seriously, somebody

I'd like to think you meant Barron but accidentally wrote Eric, but you probably intended to write Eric. Either way: funny!

Because that is their World.

If you have to ask if it's a well-known movie, then it's not a well-known movie. The real question is if it's a good movie. The answer is yes, it's a good movie, with a terrific, funny, odd and touching lead performance by John Hurt.

Scandal is wonderful and it's one of his greatest roles.

I'm such a John Hurt fan that when I found out he was performing Krapp's Last Tape in Culver City five years ago, I bought a ticket for myself in the very center of the very first row. And I don't geek out about any actor. Of course he was riveting, even with his (purposefully) weakened voice. (Hurt's voice on the

My wife just told me. That sucks! What a great actor. I'm sure we'll all be discussing this on a soon-to-be published article…

I have another Queen song for this: "Breakthru". It's from their later period, which doesn't get much love, but the song begins with a classic a capella Queen opening, literally evoking the sun rising ("When the dawn light wakes up"), then a super catchy bass line kicks in, then Freddie Mercury singing "I wake up,

I often think about the Mad Magazine parody of this film, where Moore's character says, "I think I'll tidy up the house," and Hutton's character says, "You tidied up the house this morning," so Moore says, "Well then, I'll tidy up the town!"

Ouch. This review completely ignores the third writer on the script: Michael Feit Dougan. But why assign him any credit or blame when he didn't become a name like Singer and McQuarrie?

How can anyone live with Welcome to Mooseport as their swan song?

Why not include 1977's Heroes, where he played second fiddle to Henry Winkler? No one remembers this movie, it's mediocre, but Ford was good in it.

Also Fellini: Nights of Cabiria, La Dolce Vita, 8 1/2, Juliet of the Spirits

Do foreign directors count? I'd include Akira Kurosawa: Ikuru, Seven Samurai, I Live in Fear, Throne of Blood - though frankly I'd give him a 10-feature streak, culminating in High and Low.

5 years, not 15 years!

I've seen this film at least 10 times and every time I read an essay about it, I immediately want to see it again.

Taft was the White House larder.

I've always wanted that to be my entrance music.
