I think it’s more like “Well it’s time to replace my aging car, since I am going to be in the market anyway I would prefer an EV.”

Membership for living in this country requires everyone to pay an amount to keep a certain standard of living. Do you like roads? Living in an area of the country where there are too many dirt roads, I can tell you that is not a solution, and even then they need upkeep.

Alternatively, when does a RV become a mobile home so they can assess those sweet property taxes on it in addition to the amount you pay to store it most of the year?

Hm, I can’t figure out which way Ron DeSantis would step in and fuck this up in an authoritarian manner.

The whole earth is a ship flying through space.

Since all the tectonic plates float on magma, we all live on boats too and are not subject property tax.

Jalopnik talks about boats, planes, helicopters, trains, trucks, tanks... just about anything with a motor. This is interesting content that I frankly wasn’t really that aware of. I’m not sure what your beef is.

Not competing with a site that doesn’t exist yet...

FYI, it doesn’t show EVERYTHING. I watch this site intently along with military flights in/out of the airport outside my office window. It only shows certain things, most things, but not EVERYTHING. Just so people understand that.

Not to be outdone, Mansory has violated a few of these...

They’re not sending their best”

My brain blocked out the name, so I had to go on a sad Google deep dive to find it, but....

Mitsuoka Orochi

Therein is a bit of a risk.  Xi is willing to shoot China’s economy in the leg for other gains.  It’s a bit like having a possessor of nuclear weapons who is willing to kill off much of his own country to make a point.

Joe Manchin approves this message!

Over the Air doesn’t necessarily mean automatically.

West Virginia is such a forward thinking state.

Way too good to be true. Sending this “seller” $35k, or any “down payment” would be foolish. Any amount of money for nothing is No Dice.

It depends on the car but a 2000 Civic Si would work just fine using this method. I see a few other comments stating the exact opposite of this, but I’ve been driving 90's Japanese 4-bangers for a decade and they are all capable of taking off from a standstill in this manner. I’ve taught plenty of people using this

If you let the clutch out fast, sure. But a modern car is gonna be able to move the car at idle without stalling as long as you let the clutch out slowly.
