Depending on what roads/highways you drive on, expect steep tolls. For example, the price of tolls between Nagoya and Tokyo via Shin-Tomai Exp. round trip was $144.
BUT, it’s the best infrastructure on the planet. Drove through probably 20 tunnels, and the only flaw in the highways were expansion gaps for the bridges.

The motor is fine for acceleration. In “low battery mode”, the controller limited power output to what the generator made. 38HP of juice doesn’t cut it up hills apparently.
