Me too. Got a Day 1 Edition and have been using it as the hub of TV system ever since. We control the TV through it (LOVE “Xbox on”), use the HDMI pass-through, Netflix, the whole thing. Not sure it’s the car I want, yet. I’ve narrowed my choice to the RS or Golf R if I go performance. If I go the luxury route, I’m thinking Q30 (at least until they tell us it won’t come to the US with a manual) or Clubman. Since I also have an S2000, I don’t need a performance daily.

My wife took one look at the RS when I showed it to her and declared that she HATED it. Had nothing to do with it being a Focus; she just thought it looked like a 17-year-old’s car. And that may be fair.

I’m not sure where your information is coming from, but you can definitely still order a manual on the 228i, 328i sedan, and 428i coupe. Bimmerfest has a summary of all 2016 order guides, and you can clearly see that a manual is available on those cars.
