Never watched a Buck Rogers serial before, but I really like the opening monologue about man’s dreams for the future and how they’ve become a reality.

Agreed. I have a few artists that I think could take over for a while, though. Sean Murphy is at the top for me. But I’d also love Tony S. Daniel to jump back on the book for art. Or Francis Manapul. His work on Detective Comics was so good, even if the writing was very lacking.

Yeah, I know. Gonna be a long year. I hope they get someone really great to keep his seat warm.

Thanks! I didn’t know there were literary blogs on Kinja. Is there a hashtag to post on Bibliomancy and Backtalk? Thanks so much for sharing :)

Ah cool! Thanks! I’ve always wanted to dive in since I love Mike Mignola’s art style and the Lovecraft mythos. And I like trades, but I enjoy quicker, episodic reads more. Still, plan to dive into more trades soon!

Awesome! I figure Hellboy: Seed of Destruction is all I really needed as background, yes? I can just dive into these miniseries no problem with just that knowledge?

I really need to start reading more Hellboy. I’ve only read the first trade. Is there any way to jump into the single issues right now? Any good entry point? Thanks!

I’ve only seen parts of Vampire$! I’m a big Carpenter fan. Probs should get on it! Not a Buffy fan myself, actually...I know. Not a popular opinion.

Well, I’m doing some heavy drinking before watching it, so I’ll let you know if you’re remembering right!

Oh! I still haven’t seen Candyman, but it’s on my list. I think I’m watching Martin tonight!

Thank you! Yeah, I really felt they deconstructed the classic vampire story a bit. They’re a lot of fun! Thanks so much for reading!

Oh wow, that’s a brilliant idea. I’m not familiar with Preacher comics. Are they similar to Near Dark? Tell me all about it!

Thanks so much! I always have a lot of fun writing about spooky things. Anything else I should be watching this Halloween? Anything lesser known? Thanks for reading!
