One of the local stations reported that her family said she had been “on high alert” ever since her car was broken in to a few weeks ago. So she was already stressed when some creep followed her home late at night, which must have been terrifying. Would not be surprised if that triggered some sort of fugue state. 

As of right now this sounds to me like a mental health/substance abuse thing, which means we are owed, and should expect, no explanation.
