I ran across this Bertrand Russell letter today via Brain Pickings. I think it sums up the only attitude I can take with Trump Supporters anymore:

Voting and/or registration taxes or fees. Shrinking the available polling locations in urban areas. Little things that will add up to less people voting. The whole key for the conservatives is to keep the turnout down.

The GOP tax bill contains a provision aimed at grad school tuition waivers, to treat them as taxable income. So if you get a stipend of $20,000 and your tuition waiver is for $50,000, you would get taxed as though you’re making $70,000. Which would probably at least quadruple your tax burden.

Maybe the Democratic party should stop being Republican lite and get back to actually supporting progressive policies and candidates?
