I come from a big christian music town, and for all the people over, say, 40 who do that, U2 hit them like a ton of bricks. U2 WAS a christian act as far as they were concerned — expressly religious, singing about moral issues, etc. Evangelicals ate it up. I couldn’t possibly care less about this ridiculous band or

“Sure we fucked you over, and we’ll definitely do it again.... But the Republicans will fuck you over even worse.”

I know this isn’t Bloomberg but I would’ve thought that you would’ve read the comments on the last post about this before writing things like:

This is all Mitt Romney’s fault.

You’d prefer they found a person of color with a penchant for waterboarding and destroying evidence, instead?

I honestly think this is a great idea that will be strangled in its crib.

‘“Non-violent offenders who made poor choices in tough environments as young men,” Bice, a basketball official since 1991, said of the inmates he’s taught.’

If Texas can’t get the numbers of boar under control, nothing short of carpetbombing will. The fuckers are smart and breed too damned fast.

Problem is that hunting boar is hard because they’re so damn smart. Southerners can’t even make a dent to their problem.

Its kinda like claiming you are owed money for every highschooler in the country using Comic sans bold in powerpoint presentations.

But how will you even know to google something if you don’t know it exists?

I think it’s been clear for a while now that Netflix is just trying to be HBO on a bigger scale. HBO has original programming and a few hundred movies revolving each month and that works well for them (at least Netflix uses the right AR). The studios created the problem of there never being one giant dream home for

3 things I learned from this article -

1) Steve McQueen is British? His American accent is flawless.

2) Steve McQueen is black!? He does a great job at ‘passing’...

3) There are two famous Steve McQueens. That makes more sense.

“Why doesn’t he just capitalize on this and charge people to go on his beach?”

Oh yeah, that’s the good stuff. We should DEFINITELY encourage more billionaire to be able to physical own public resources like shoreline and exclude citizens from access because reasons. Why would you want you live in a place that allows that? How does that benefit you AT ALL.

To clarify, I was talking about the beach itself below the mean high tide line. You’re correct that things are little trickier with the access gate. The state has offered to compensate him, but he wants millions more than what the state thinks the access is worth (I think it’s something like $350k and he wants $30M).

And yet, the mega-rich assholes will still be clueless when they are placed in the guillotines.

Yeah, you know? Why not just let all public access areas be bought up and closed off to the poors.

The idea the that public/sovereign government owns navigable waterways and beachfront at the intersection with the ocean is of ancient lineage, and you can find antecedents of the California Coastal Act going back to the Romans.

That’s my patented system I call “TapFinity.” Patent-pending.
