This was mostly tongue in cheek. My parents are doing the same.

I routinely say the “greatest generation” (my grandparents) produced the “worst generation” the (boomers/my parents).
True. However, now your dermatologist is never going to be able to afford this car.
Hmmm, the pinto would also explode when rear ended. Like how they carried over that design piece.
Just ran into my garage to fix this and to my bewilderment realized that I don't own a porsche.
Great piece David. Can’t believe that analog chrono/clock is still smack dab in the middle of dash. Seems out of place on this car.
“Hey honey, ok if I fly up to Montreal to meet this guy so we can take turns railing this 23 year old british escort at a drag strip just out of town?.... is that a firm no?”
I agree with you. But, you still get a 30% tax credit for geothermal and solar. Sounds like you wanted a 100% tax credit. Maybe that is what is needed to force people to make the correct decisions.
The EV credit is small. If you install geothermal or solar you get a 30% tax credit. Conversion for the average house is more like $20,000+ and if you wanted to run if off solar you could easily end up getting a $25,000 tax credit. Of course, the average American does not pay enough on taxes to actually get this, or…
Does anyone know how fast this thing does laguna seca? Asking for a friend.
That is a much more boring an exercise than it appears because this will be dominated by cheap cars. Chevy spark is about $13,000 and can go 100mph. So $130/mph.
Porsche is just living in their own world. If you look at all their models and pricing, it actually makes total sense where the Taycan slots in. I mean the panamera turbo s e-hybrid which I guess is the closest existing car to the Taycan is $190,000! From that perspective the Taycan is a deal. Unfortunately it is not…
This seems about right. Although I love Porsche, they charge about 30% more than they have the right to. I mean the 911 is now a big, fat $100,000 car that might lose a drag race to a Mustang GT which costs $35,000. Simplistic comparison but makes you think.
That’s why my fam left 400 years ago... But really that sucks. However, I’d rather my car get stolen then have to consider buying my kids bullet proof backpacks like we do over here, so at least you have that going for you.
I have this cool thing called a garage that would prevent this from happening.
