Let me clear up my thoughts and grievances some more.

So, Microtransactions.
He said plain as day that they would have things like DLC expansions and heads/skins. Direct purchase items like they’ve done before. Not loot boxes that give out RNG items with little chance of getting what you want. Maybe there’s a gray line as to what is considered a micro transaction but to me they are pay to win…
I don’t see that happening. I’ve worked for executives like him before—guys that just love the stage part. They put in the years and do actual unseen (by the press or fans) work building the business, and now they’re the “face” and they love it.
I saw a pitch from a well-known ad agency last year and they had a whole…
Just stop picking up the crappy guns. Once you get to, like, level 10 or so, the only reason to loot white stuff is if you want to complete looting challenges for Badass Ranks. Ditto green and, eventually, blue stuff as you get higher level.
Any sense of how inventory works? I feel like my biggest gripe with BL1 & 2 was the constant need to manage the crappy guns that I kept picking up. The “gazillion guns” thing was both a blessing and a curse for those games.
As the event wrapped up, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford rallied fans by noting that Borderlands 3 wouldn’t have microtransactions “or any of that nonsense,” a statement that, according to other members of the Borderlands team, is false.
The first Borderlands gave me motion sickness relatively quickly, but I have been able to play 70+ hours on Borderlands 2 without issue. I’ve been told that doing things like increasing the FOV setting and disabling things like head bob can help a fair bit.
Pritchford’s comments on the issue were... not good. He had a lot of inflammatory remarks about Steam and Valve, and then said that while the Epic store has a LOT of issues, his game is so great that Epic will be forced to make their storefront better.
What fun! Social gaming without actual interaction!
God damn Randy just can’t go one day without being a fucking idiot.
To be real I’m only barely interested in a Borderlands 3. I actually hate how at the core “Vaults” have become to the storytelling and would much rather have a Tales From the Borderlands 2
“loot instancing” Great! Now I don’t have to talk to people I play with if something cool drops. Yay... Even better if they don’t even see it dropping so we can avoid the obligatory “gratz”.
I’m glad to hear about the loot drop balancing.
Played this game with a friend (who was a dick) and they would hoover up all the loot and sort through it if I wasn’t fast enough.
I had 3 requests for the traversal mechanics of this game and two of them were granted.
They’re gonna sell skins and heads again, I fully expect it. Also paid max. level increases, which was dumb the first time they did it.
No microtransactions or any of that nonsense... while forcing PC store exclusivity for a while.
Could someone explain to me why such a blatant scam is not facing a shitstorm that makes NMS, Dontyouhavephones and Canvasbag COMBINED pale in comparison?
This is for Razer...
Wow, this is quite the bald-faced scam. I feel bad for Razer’s PR team in the next week. I don’t feel bad for Razer’s C-suite at all.
