I used to have a fear of rebuilding transmissions, then I rebuilt my Torqueflite 727 twice because my truck had the the wrong dip stick. I learned that they aren’t that bad and that when you add too much fluid you blow your transmission seals.

You can literally lick your fingertips and directly touch the positive and negative battery terminals and you will receive no shock. At all. It's only 12-24V depending on the car. Anything less than 50VDC simply doesn't have enough potential to overcome your skin's resistance.

The radiators. When I was a kid, my dad cracked open the radiator cap on a hot engine to let it vent before he proceeded. As soon as it was opened just a slight bit, it blew the cap off and showered his entire arm with hot coolant. I can still smell the odor of burning flesh and remember seeing the flesh hanging off
