Also known as Aronia (right?) I really miss these after moving to the US. My grandmother has a big bush of these growing in Estonia. These are awesome, though a bit tart, raw, and make for some delicious juice.

These are the Gooseberries. They're delicious. Really sour at first but sweet when ripe. The bushes they grow on have some serious thorns though.

Reminds me of this soviet example. Though admittedly it's nowhere near autonomous or easy to operate. It does however allow for those not able to drive traditional vehicles with pedals, to get around. Not sure if there are any modern examples of this or anything on the State-side.
I've seen this before and I still find it hard to believe so many people got it wrong. I think it just comes down to not having ever fixed a bike before and not understanding how one works.
