Sorry, didn’t mean to come off condescending. I agree with the mindset behind the 4th and 2 - plus I thought Faulk quite clearly got hosed on the spot and actually had the first down.

Shanahan inexplicably called just four(!) running plays after Atlanta built a 28-3 lead

Also, on one of those NFL Films things, Quinn says of his own defense, “they’re gassed (or tired or something), but they’re holding on.” I think even potentially up by 11 points --and maybe we shouldn’t assume the 100% likelihood of a FG. That first XP should have been a block but for the incorrect penalty. Maybe

Kicking the FG made it a 2 possession game as it cut the deficit to 16. I think that was the logic at work. Belichick was counting possessions at that point.

Falcons had 17 yards on 10 carries in the 2nd half. Might be part of the reason for passing.

Shanahan and Ryan only put up 21 on the Pats D.

Looking back there were about 50 different things New England had to do right to win this game and another 50 different thing Atlanta had to do wrong to lose this game and somehow all 100 things happened.

How soon we forget about the Atlanta Islamist terror attack.

The last time Atlanta was sacked this much waS July 22nd, 1864.

I’m like 90% sure the part you’re reacting to, old boy, was the set up to the punchline about how no1curr about Curry’s ugly fucking shoes. It was a pretty good joke, as I read it.

Inspired by the Statue of Liberty in football, in lacrosse this is known the Pearl Harbor.

Makes you think why the fuck a 18 billion dollar in revenue league can’t afford to mic’up every single starting player. It’d be 44 players, it’s not that hard.

They can’t even agree which screen to watch. Hilarious.

The Pats didn’t make a pact with Satan. Peyton Manning did. How else do you explain Peyton willing to be a spokesman for Papa John’s?

This exactly what I love about mic’d up plays; those little moments that reveal how different the player’s perspective can be from our perspective as fans. They’re arguing about that play the way I might argue over a bad beat in a poker hand with my buddies, whereas fans are absolutely losing their minds one way or

I mean when you’re the guy nailing Adrianna Lima, you’re not going to exactly be lacking the confidence department.

That argument is kind of adorable. Poole seems more incredulous than anything else and Edelman is just astounded that it happened.
