I would get a 60-80GB SSD for around $80 to run your programs off of, and a dirt cheap 1-2TB HDD to store your files (music, videos, older pictures, etc). That way, you get the top performance and you end up saving a hundred or so some odd dollars! You'll be smiling every time you press the power button too. :)
