wtf are you even talking about? “fine grained data”? how about we stick to widely accepted sources and studies?

no, i tend to discount “news” sources that are blatantly biased. instead, i provided you studies from the DOJ and from the CDC. if you want to quibble with those sources, we really don’t have much to talk about.

and relying on vox for “actual data” is like relying on the daily show for “actual news”. while certainly interesting, it does tend to come from a particular viewpoint.

you posted in a public forum.

right. how about you come back here armed with a bit more than your uniformed opinion?

i live in california so those are the laws i’m most familiar with. and i prefaced my original comment regarding gun laws specifically to california. to suggest that gun laws have been weakened since 2004 is either willfully ignorant or blatantly dishonest. from magazine limits and/or bans, enhanced registration

right. when you’re ready to have a serious argument about a serious topic, come on back....

with regard to my state of california... why don’t we start with long gun registration??? (pc 11106, pc 28160) are we done here? because i can list many more.

i wouldn’t expect someone as childish as yourself to accept that. or anything remotely rational. blaming inanimate objects for the behavior of individuals is not the hallmark of high level thinking....

yes, please continue to argue in circles. i’ll consider that your concession...

blaming a gun for suicide is bullshit. i’m sorry for whatever loss you’ve experienced, but most rational people will readily acknowledge the real issue with suicide is mental health. not the rope, car, gun, pills, bridge, booze, poison they chose to use...

really? “It doesn’t change the fact that the assault weapons ban law expired and no new regulations have been passed since then”

nope.

data? LOLS, you mean the graph from mother jones? sorry. but i’ll gladly link you to some actual data from the CDC and DOJ.

what the “gun lobby” is advocating is enforcing the 20000 state and federal laws on the books. that is far from nothing.

a reason for a correlation?

my state did. not to mention, research failed to show any link between assault weapons ban and decrease in gun crime.
