I think Wade gave his best years away so that 1) he and 2) the Heat could benefit. At this stage I think we all agree that the Heat should sacrifice here for him. Their lack of budging is frustrating and is bad form.

From report published in 2015...Sweden estimates 77% of rapes commited by 2% Muslim male population. Swedish males care a great deal about their women...but they aren’t the problem.
There is no doubt she’s beautiful. It would be nice if there was some substance behind the profile.
I love this: “It’s hard to have people constantly reacting to the concept of your situation instead of you.”
Life if full of connection points. Some are cultural like a Sweet Sixteen or High School Graduation...others are more universal like Weddings and Childbirth. They are all times to celebrate and be joyful.
This seems like a root cause to rape culture.
I think it would be great if they could swing a deal for Ivan Nova. I think he can be a strong starter providing some wins for a playoff run and then easily converted to get solid innings as a relief pitcher come the playoffs. This will be key if one of the Big 3 hit a stretch where they struggle.
It is very exciting. I have gotten to see some of these games on television and they have everything going for them right now. If Michael Brantley comes back, they can wind up in the World Series. No joke. I would like to see them add one more arm to the rotation though...as mentioned above, outside the Big 3, you…
There are two issues at hand. 1) Should a traditionally beloved character be portrayed by a different race than their history portrays? I think one can have deep held feelings about this. One can equally be upset about Johnny Storm, Major, or Hermione being cast as a person of color. 2) Should minorities be cast in…
I think your point is better taken if we lived in Japan.
I think we all have to realize that Hollywood is like most other industries where hard work, experience, connections, politics and audience matter. You have a studio, director, producer and actor all vying for 1) opportunity 2) influence 3) success to further their career. Movies are those vehicles. Only some projects…
I think “cultural context” is arbitrary...much like the Magnificent 7. Huge difference b/n Feudal Japan and the Wild West.
I am not sure what the fuss is about. Scarlett Johansson will be the difference in hundreds of millions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of viewers...which is the intent of movie making and story telling. To tell great stories people want to see.
Honestly, Lin is a bit of an enigma to me. I am shocked the Hornets didn’t value him more. 1) He’s a team guy. He enhances chemistry. 2) He’s a fan favorite. People love him and he generates wealth for the team. 3) Offensively he is that guy that when told to can get points. He can’t carry a team, but he can win games.
Wild Orchid, reunion, please.
I think the Affleck / Garner marriage should be saved. They are two down to earth people caught between the idyllic values they were raised with and the trappings of Hollywood fame. Nobody wants the hurt of adultery, but it could be the best thing to happen to them if they rekindle their relationship. Communication is…
I don’t get it either. Especially with Dirk and Matthews, should be a destination team. I was shocked to wake up and find out Whiteside didn’t bolt.
Hassan Whiteside is the real deal and it is ridiculous to claim he has no offensive ability. If he stays healthy and he and Spo get on the same page, this guy could lead a Heat team with solid talent to the ECF.
Would it? Isn’t this where the equal pay for equal work mantra becomes a farce. Schumer has what 2 films and has become of comedic favorite of many over what 5yrs? Rogan has been in the industry making films for what, over a decade? So, would it really make sense for this company to pay them the “same” for this spot?…
I disagree. There is no room for women in the MLB. It is a professional men’s league of the highest caliber. Women even if capable, and from what we can tell they are not even close, should not be allowed to play at the professional level.
