That’s why I abandoned TNG. They introduced the Borg as this unstoppable threat, and then pretty much ignored them. 11-year-old me said “fuck this,” and never looked back.

I Kinja’ed about this in another article about Discovery. Non-serialized TV was mostly a necessity back before Netflix and DVRs. Back then, if you missed an episode, you missed it. At least until it showed up again in a summer re-run or in syndication. Sure, VCRs have been a thing for a lot longer, but you had to…
Serialization fixes the single worst thing about Star Trek; that nothing of significance ever happens. Every episode is wrapped up by the end and the characters come full circle.
I don’t get this. How would him mourning her have changed how that episode was done? “City on the Edge of Forever” could be done the exact same. The episodes after it would have the mourning.
John Constantine is making his triumphant return to the CW’s Arrowverse in Legends of Tomorrow’s third season. He’ll…
In nearly every other X-Men film and television show, mutants are presented as a relatively new global phenomenon…
You mean “Get me someone like Edris Ilba!” That guy? Because that’s all I could see.
That’s just how scientists talk. They avoid making the type of definitive statement that a normal person might make. Thus: “Our instruments show it to be hot, today” vs. “It’s hot today.”
I seriously don’t understand why people aren’t seeing this as the hard reboot it is. Star Trek is dead. Long live whatever the hell this is.
Okay but, spoilers
It sucks it got spoiled but at the same time, it’s not bad news it got out. I feel like Firth’s performance really is the heart and soul of “Kingsman”, despite the stellar cast around him. Taron Egerton does his job well, but nothing beats the dude from “Bridget Jones’ Diary” going full 007-on-R-rated-roids, so it was…
I mean, to each their own, but I think The Defenders (as a show, not talking about the characters “The Defenders”) is pretty dumb and, in regards to their villains, kind of... really horribly written (for the most part).
Worst part, he is noticeably better in Defenders than IF.
It’s absolutely Rand. He makes the show almost unwatchable. I was neutral in the whole IF kerfuffle (because I refused to watch it). Then I watched The Defenders. The dude is an abyss. The blandness, the entitlement, the white savior complex of a rich guy who abandoned his post...just ugh.
The Hand is boring.
Where does one get a copy of the restored color version?
Wait - who the hell is that? He’s smiling and he’s got bright colors! That cant possibly be Superman!
But it is nice to hear that there are airlines out there at least making an effort - albeit misguided - to treat flyers as guests.
I’m not going to deny after about an hour of this I’d be eyeing the emergency exit lever. Especially if I found myself seated between Richie and Cynthia. But it is nice to hear that there are airlines out there at least making an effort - albeit misguided - to treat flyers as guests.
