I stand by the fact that Stargate Universe was good. It didn’t start good, it was tedious and drawn out but once it found it’s footing it was getting pretty dang good. The characters became more likeable, they started working together as a team, the story stopped being repetitive and actually had some meat to it.

Sure there’s historical precedent for this but you’d have to look at a European power during the 30's and 40's......

The film is such a success in that it boils down complex topics like political bias, money in politics, and propaganda into an easy to ingest form. 1984, for all its greatness is still a very demanding piece in film format that requires you to think throughout the film.
