The management will get another K pop “star” in a couple of weeks. The “stars” have remarkably little control over anything in the K pop system.

I lived in South Korea for a year.  They idolize the “west”.  Teen girls will lighten their skin, get plastic surgery eye jobs, etc to look more western (in other words, white).  Its crazy. 

They don’t get as much as you think.  They’re under contract with lots of clauses.  They have to pay writers, managers, choreographers, etc.  Nickeled and dimed to hell and back.  K pop is a system that is corporately run; the singers/dancers don’t write their stuff.  They have no control once they sign the contract.
