According to google, it was staged. One article I read noted that there were no arrests and no lawsuits from the alleged incident. I think staged/hoax is extremely likely.
Could they try just a little harder to "act" like they're falling down? If I saw that shit I'd be calling them out for doing it on purpose.
I know it sounds bad, but I'm waiting for the day one of these shows does some kind of fake kidnapping or assault and a bystander pulls out a gun and shoots the guy. Its probably why they don't do these shows down south or out west much.
