You sure are lucky you live in 2016, when it’s possible to make a living (or close to one at least) by incessantly whining online.

And don’t forget the whole “taken is boring” angle; what’s the point of hiring female meat if she’s not interested in/intimidated by your advances? A husband provides an out financially for her, unlike a single woman who “needs” the job more and won’t file one of those pesky harassment complaints.
Well, I suppose saying that women are all catty bitches, and that a big ring will cause all kinds of drama isn’t illegal...
Exactly.
That’s the same crap they’ve been saying since WW2.
Totally. I paid my rent in flirty glances and bought groceries with a flash of cleavage. And the Gas Co. was happy to take a wink and a smile.
Wait wait. Let me complete this.
Exactly. I thought all of this was going to be the argument
I believe that you have great difficulty finding a foundation that matches your skin tone, but your assertion that foundation comes in very pale shades is false. They don’t make foundation for my very pale skin. According to beauty bloggers there is a Korean BB cream which may be pale enough for me, but the only place…
I really hate to derail things, but I’m at the opposite end of the spectrum- extremely pale. And honestly, saying that make up is a white people industry is wrong- it’s a medium people industry.
Who said you weren’t allowed to do that? I certainly didn’t.
I feel you - my makeup routine was applying a little eyeliner and shadow while sitting on the subway for a couple of decades until I developed rosacea well into my 40s. At that point the dermatologist was asking me to use a special cleanser plus apply one product at night and two in the morning, and then I’d still…
I literally registered to say that as a black woman who is darker than the author, I like the story but I’m not really sure that I understand the ‘framing”device and what it’s meant to reveal. I read it that the author went to a Sephora and was overwhelmed by the choice of foundation but wasn’t sure which to buy. She…
i buy my cat litter at amazon all the time, the covenience of having six 30 pound buckets of litter delivered for $14 each outweighs the $2 saving id get at the cheapest local place.
not too mention its a lot easier to prevent impulse buys when you are shopping online because you DON'T see those cookies on sale or that whizbang gagdget you dont really need.
Exactly my thought. Granted if Amazon is ridiculously more expensive (which it sometimes is for a few items) I will try to look elsewhere. For example cat litter is literally double the price on Amazon, and my parents live nearby and have a car, so I just try to stock up at the pet store once a month whenever I visit…
I agree as well. It saves something. Maybe not always$ but it saves in stress. It isn't quite as set it and forget it as I'd hoped, but I think we are saving by being careful. I'm not sending much more anyway.
I agree it's a great convenience. Done right, you can also save money.
I agree. I am ill and cannot always get to a store when I need something. Amazon brings it to my door. So worth the yearly fee.
