Bullshit. Depictions of a sexual nature are not all “porn.”

Well, yeah. It might, actually.

“the ethics”

Oh. So she’s magically disqualified. Her experiences somehow are invalid. The cannot inform her opinion!

“How dare you blame a woman’s exposure to porn for her distaste for it? PORN IS GOOD and you’re a prude if you say otherwise. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to believe porn is sick, misogynist, and damaging.”

Amazing the sheer panic, anger, and desperation when dudes’ porn isthreatened. Because it would be just so horrible if society got rid of porn. The suffering that would ensue!

Yes, if she had watched porn from the “normal” point of view, e.g., watching women get slapped, choked, and penetrated by strange men - but maybe watching it with a “loving” boyfriend who then expected her to WANT to be used that way, she’d be EVER so much more qualified to have an opinion! How dare she think porn is

Yeah, how dare you women insist on calling this “rape”? It was like a cute little wedding! Where a little girl is some older dude’s bride! Sheesh, you ladies. Always gettin’ riled up over nothin’!

“child rape victim” works ever so much better!

along with “domestic dispute.”

“consume porn”

“child bride”

“realization of every American’s darkest nightmare.”

I think there is SO much we don’t really understand about food, eating and emotions, physiology, brain chemistry, the gut, exercise ... for every person, there seems to be a different opinion of what “works.” In my case, I have been unable to lose weight and keep it off for ten years. In fact, I gained 100 lbs over

I agree that obsessively counting calories and steps and miles and laps is part and parcel of the same disorder. Withholding and/or depriving food, or consistently overeating, is disordered. Our relationship with food, exercise, and what constitutes “health” is COMPLETELY disordered.

I think starving yourself is disordered eating. It’s a prevalent disorder among girls.

Yes!

Then it’s serving a purpose. Eating food just because it’s there is wasteful.

No, my point is, “diets” don’t work, and its been proven, over and over. Moreover, the vast majority of people who lose weight gain it back. Losing a large amount of weight (and not gaining it back) could take years of food and lifestyle change. People don’t want to wait years.

Putting too much food into your body IS wasteful.
