Yup. Only 8 blocks away from the chaos! My friend’s husband begged her to see Phish on NYE at MSG this year and she lost her fucking mind on him.

I’ve lived in NYC for almost 9 years I have yet to meet anyone who has actually gone to Times Square on NYE... I just assume it’s all tourists and bridge and tunnel people. It honestly looks like hell to me. I won’t even get on the subway to go anywhere on NYE because it’s all shenanigans.
Of course he pleads not guilty. He sees that the system plays in his favor.
I’m very much in the “No kids for me!” boat and then he (wonderfully) clogs my Instagram feed with cute-overloads of his family and I have a moment of rethinking that.
I’m so sorry that happened... I had to put my dog down in February after he bit my mom terribly. Same thing. Fear-aggression with lots of training and all of the work that needed to take place (plus Prozac, which actually worked miracles for a year). It was the hardest decision I ever had to make and I would never…
You’re right. According to Wiki, she’s originally from Waynesboro, VA. So it looks like she was born in VA and then moved to (grew up in?) Western PA.
I see that you are agreeing with me, yes? :)
Ah yes, that Pittsburgh accent. Punsatucky doesn’t have that. She’s not all “yinz gon dahntahn to watch the stillers?” which is why I thought that maybe she’s from the more southern part of the state. But this is Hollywood, so most accents aren’t going to be 100% authentic sounding and like you said, accents in that…
I really want that poncho...
Pensatucky is from Western, PA. If she’s from the WV border then her character seems very accurate to me (my friend’s husband speaks exactly like her and he’s from Wheeling). Her clothes, the parties in the woods while blasting 311, and her accent aren’t too far off... I’m certainly NOT an expert but I lived out there…
I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK.
I agree. When you describe The Affair to people it sounds like a contrived soap opera, but when you watch it it doesn’t feel that way. Aside from all of the great writing and acting (Cole was meant to be played by Joshua Jackson and he’s brilliant), I really appreciate watching this show as an NYC resident who works…
I got the 411 from another commenter. Thanks, though.
Ah okay. That makes sense. Thank you!
At this risk of getting too wrapped up in semantics, I was under the impression that “dreadlocks” isn’t the preferred terminology when referring to this hairstyle. I’m a white person who used that term a few years ago and an African-American friend checked me on that. She summed it up pretty well IMO. “There’s nothing…
Top three fears of living in NYC.
Ha! You are absolutely right.
That dog is in the land of the WASPs every damn weekend in the summer.
I’m very “meh” when it comes to Andy. But his dog is THE BEST.
My favorite Winona is dark Winona... Lydia Deetz (Beetlejuice, obviously) and Susanna Kaysen (Girl Interrupted) to be exact.
