I've never had jalapeño poppers but they look so good! I'd eat those…

I don't like football and I don't like Valentine's Day. But I'm totally showing up to a Super Bowl party with those heart-shaped donuts from Dunkin tomorrow. I might even chest bump someone to add to all the weirdness.

I'm noticing that a lot of commenters use the term "victim." As someone who works with sexual assault survivors, we intentionally use the term "survivor" for many reasons. Here is my favorite explanation by Akhila on her Journeys Towards Justice blog:

Yeah, Lana Del Ray has the ultimate voice for everything spooky, plastic, and haunting.

I was all like "Noooooo, not blurred lines when it's Saturday in the park!"

It's amazing how people associate kink with being negative or dangerous, meanwhile it is rooted in consent. As long as consenting adults are involved, people need to cool their jets in the judgement department.

Wow… This article is six years old and yet I see the same type of insensitive writing and defensive reactions to the commenters! Where is her growth as a writer? Ugh...

That's why I still come back :-)

Thanks, KEWLBEAAANS!

Yes. This. When I first came to Jezebel, it very much felt like a community. I remember when writers would leave for another opportunity and we'd have a moment to wish them well. Now, I really just look for a few staffers' articles and participate in the SNSs.

Thanks for the star!

Awesome! It's really fun when you meet like-minded people who kick back the way you like to kick back.

I thought the same thing. I was like "Huh… Is my gif really that bad? Even if it is, it summed up my reaction perfectly."

You'll make new (and better) friends in grad school. These women have been taught to be flattered by men hitting on them, no matter how aggressive. Keep listening to your gut, especially being a survivor.

Thank you!

We'll be grey together! Greys unite!

I plan on skipping her stuff from here on out, that's for sure!

I have no idea what her story is but I'm curious to know.

I agree. They definitely should address the Lena Dunham article :(

It's at the top of the page with a Glee gif. If you click on the thread, you'll see Tracie's overreaction to my comment.
