Most of the items you cite are only bad if you except the premise that they are bad. For example, is linearity bad? It depends who you ask and what the context is. For instance, I like FFX and Xenosaga.

Black Flag was the peak of what I consider “Classic” Assassins Creed. Origins and especially Odyssey are so different they might as while not be in the same series anymore. Which is helpful as Assassins Creed had a lot of stinkers in the bunch.

I have literally never seen anything that Abrams was involved with that I would consider “good” or even anything I would consider “mediocre.”  Almost all of it was overproduced crap.  Like habanero diarrhea. I mean sure, it’s got habaneros in it and that’s intense, but it’s still liquid shit.

It’s just frankly odd how much of No Man’s Sky’s visual identity has been inspired by Destiny. The games’ vibes are nothing alike, and yet every NMS shot I see has at least something in it that I’ve seen in the other game.
