This happens quite a lot in Asia. I’ve seen North Korean news programs with Oblivion’s main theme, a Cambodian soap opera with the Final Fantasy X soundtrack, and one instance where footage from a Metal Gear Solid game was used to depict some recent conflict on Burmese TV.

Eyvind’s Beard, it’s Gevorg!

Literally: “Be cool on social media? Fuck that shit!”

I held out for a good deal on Battlefield 1 and finally got rewarded last week. Been spending a great Saturday enjoying the game; I think it’s the strongest entry since Bad Company 2.

I’m not clicking that link. I’ll start blubbering again.

I’m happy for you. But also very sorry for you.

I wanted to like XV, but the characters are still all po-faced hollering titsacks and it hurts to spend time listening to them.

Civ V had plenty of standalone civilisations to play as despite its expansion philosophy. No reason yet to think Civ VI won’t be similar.

I think X and XII are both fantastic, but I can’t agree that Vaan is a better character than Tidus. Tidus is a bit grating, yeah, but he’s also the perfect POV character. He’s as new to Spira as the player is and that helps us to absorb the world a lot better and more objectively. His development and involvement over

Jak 3 was the perfect sequel, it expanded on everything Jak II did and objectively it’s the superior game. But it’s the culmination of ideas that matured in Jak II, so I’m comfortable with that game getting the nod. That said, I can’t understand why critics didn’t like Jak 3 as much. And why did they shaft Keira as a

I think you gotta make room for Ace Combat 5 and SoulCalibur II/III on there. And while I love XII to bits, I have to say I think Final Fantasy X was the better game. Lastly, I will fight you if you think GT4 was better than A-Spec.

More AoE2 is always good. My only worry is that the newer expansions have catered more to the hardcore crowd, and less to casual/nostalgic players and potential newcomers (not surprising with the FE team involved). I’d love to see more people getting involved with the game.

It’s a problem with a lot of trailers these days. The “don’t watch trailers if you don’t want to be spoiled” mantra is useless when they’re used as advertisements all over TV and the internet. It’s especially bad for movies since there’s only so much footage they can use anyway.

Not really a surprise, it was an insane goal to reach. And while I did catch a few mons I honestly had better things to do.

I teared up a bit when I saw Po town. I realised Team Skull were just a bunch of misfits trying to fit in and get by, and Guzma was the rallying point for those woes. I bet they’d all be a lot of fun to be around, given the chance.

So it’s a greatest hits of a greatest hits pretty much... I loved Wipeout HD but that itself was a repackaged version of Pulse with some tracks from Pure instead.

Bethesda, I get that you’re not necessarily happy with people using properties you own, but: You are never going to make this game. Nobody is making money off this game. This game is an homage to a property you own and is not seeking to replace it. It makes you look good having this game around. When you tell the

Mass Effect is far and away my favourite game series ever. But this is the first time any of the pre-release material has made me excited for Andromeda.

Not again.

From what I understand they were friends when Hamilton came to Mercedes, but he was so ultra-competitive that Rosberg had to respond in kind and it became a very petty squabble for superiority when Mercedes came out with the best car a few years ago. That’s the weird dynamic of motorsport teams. Nobody’s looking like
