From The Simpsons: the mysterious product known as TUBBB!

If you've ever gone to Wikipedia and looked at the New World Pictures filmography, you know there's a freaking gold mine of potential WHM material there.  (Godzilla 1985, anyone?)

They made one mistake: Seagal's big speech at the end - originally meant to be 15 minutes in length - wasn't a press conference: it was an address to the Alaskan State Legislature!  (This set a precedent for Timothy McVeigh's big speech at the Oklahoma legislature one year later.)

It doesn't get any better than "Baba O'Reilly" and "Bargain" kicking off WHO'S NEXT.

There are Edgar Allen Poe references in the immortal BABYCAKES episode, and now I want them to edit "LOOOOOOOOOOOONGFELLOW!!!" into it.

We're way overdue for another Brimley episode, gawddammit. (HARD TARGET or REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS, maybe?)

"She gave me a bunch of crap about me not listening to her, or something. I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention."

Many of their best episodes - sorry, KEWLEST episodes - have been about direct-to-video or made-for-TV movies.  I really, really hope they cap off the month with "Foodfight!"

1990 Ami Dolenz.

I'm not a big Jon Stewart fan - I think he can be awfully self-righteous, and then uses the "I'm just a comedian!" defence when he's called on it - but I do think he goes about political comedy the right way.  He's unabashedly liberal, and most of his material makes fun of the right, but he will go after his own side

I have literally spent my entire life* waiting for WHM to do On Deadly Ground.

Booty time! Booty time! 'Cross the U-S-A!  It's booty time! Booty time! Hey hey hey!

I'm gettin' pussy no matter what!
Even if it with dirty slut!
True love is what I want the most!
I just jerked off in your french toast!

I miss Cannon Films.  It was fascinating how they'd make a "serious" movie every few months (Barfly, Runaway Train, Street Smart) alongside the Chuck Norris/Charles Bronson stuff.

Problem is, although they didn't recommend it, I had no interest in seeing "The Raven" until I heard this podcast.  It sounds like Cusack's "Wicker Man."
