The Dana 35 that was in there wont last long when you send them as much hp/tq that the LSx is making for many reasons, like only 8 ring gear bolts on the diff. A 8.8 is found in every flipped over Explorer in the junk yard, much stronger all around, disc brakes, same width as a 35.

Not idiots, exactly!! Engineers were a lot smarter back before CAD, FEA, etc. Imagine engineering an entire car with a drafting table and a slide rule! As an engineer myself, it give me an anxiety attack just thinking about it.
I work right next door to the ACD and never miss an opportunity to walk through it.
