Say which? I'm not really into Joni Mitchell, Buffy Sainte-Marie is more my speed, but I'm kinda curious about that...

Yeah, whatever happened to erring on the side of caution in regards to not appropriating things?
Wow. And by 'wow' I mean 'Fucking gross.'
What the everloving fuck?
But it's relevant to them. And actually I'm judging them by two: their transphobia and their intellectual dishonesty.
I have little-to-no tolerance for humans killing animals, the tolerance I do have is reserved for extreme circumstances.
Again, I'm not wishing death on them. I'm just agreeing that if they were dead,…
Fair point. I avoid Kotaku, myself. So when I see something like this, it's representative of gamers, to me. It's an issue within gaming in the sense that i represents a mindset gamers need to actively address. In reference to myself, it's trans issue. In reference to you, it's a trans issue, a gaming issue, and…
I don't wish death on them, but I wouldn't be saddened by it. Also, I'm not judging them by one statement - they've made many statements. Maybe they can change, but if they did, then they would no longer be the shitty, intellectually dishonest, transphobic asshat that they are.
To each their own, though.
On the side-topic of Hitler, I think that the praise for his paintings comes from people courting controversy for the sake of attention. They're poorly executed and boring.
Polanski - also not that great of an auteur. I think much of the praise for these relatively shitty artists is people buying into them as Great…
Solid.
So creepy. I keep picturing those women as having no eyes behind those bangs.
Dude, cavemen are not nearly as terrible as that dude.
I think it makes sense in the context of 'heroic' settings - where being a badass is normative. But it's way lazy to rely on that. Your example is great of how presenting women as smart can be more valuable than presenting them as strong. Bravery is not always in acts of physical strength, after all.
I keep thinking…
Word, for one - a woman can succeed without being an ass-kicker. A brilliant scientist, an effective CEO, or a social worker who helps lots of people deal with poverty and etc, for some examples. And they don't even need to succeed, necessarily - showing a woman's struggle in a patriarchal world can be just as…
More GIF love. That's a crossover that kind-of breaks my mind in a good way.
Thank you for that... as a transwoman who's a lesbian, every other lesbian I meet who can acknowledge that... it just makes me feel human.
Not to mention phonecalls saying she should kill herself.
Possibly literally.
You might find the latest blog post I made to be interesting, as well as the links within it.
I keep reading people's "but this isn't a gaming issue." Bullshit it isn't, lol. And if if it somehow wasn't one, that backlash would have made it into one. It's like these assholes shit fallacies, especially red herrings, you know?
Sweet - I know I can get a bit vitriolic at times, so I'm glad I'm not being…
Nah, it's true. Maybe a better way to say it might be, "when attitudes like yours die," but still true. And for someone who's an intellectually dishonest asshat like Nfrizzle, being less mean to them isn't going to be more convincing to them. They are very stubbornly holding society back.
