They're part of the same continuum of aggrandizement, though. I'd rather none of the above be aggrandized. That quality of obsessing over some American dynasty or sports or whatever, is why I felt saying that it's an 'American' quality is a bit tongue in cheek. Americans are just as bad with their own royalty as the

Kudos to this discussion for making sports interesting, somehow.

If they're established and advertised primarily for boys and called a "boys team", then that's what they are, even if they let girls on the team. Co-ed teams are co-ed not because of what ratio of genders belong on them, but because that's their explicit goal.

To clarify, an accepted connotation of "boys' team," not "boys' only".

The girls' participation on boys' teams led to the creation of girls' teams and a girls' league, so yeah. It's one of the first results when searching for 'boys wrestling team girl'. I think the term you're of is 'boys-only'. Having girls on a boys team is an accepted

Thank you. I like how she wasn't satisfied with the options tradition or modern society was giving her and so she made life her own way.

Hmm, this sounds a bit like the whole 'Russian Brides' thing that's been around for decades now. Not that that redeems either concept in any way.

What elements of parody is this missing?

*high five* back atcha

It's actually depressing, the sheer amount of body-shaming that's embedded in society. And it really would be quite revolutionary to work past that.

Right, and I was mocking the people saying boner no control and thus agreeing with you.

And there are also girls on boys' wrestling teams.

Eh, not necessarily. Men weren't allowed to try out for my college's women's swimming team and there was no men's team.

What made you assume that?

And yet there are girls on boys' wrestling teams, so that definition is irrelevant. Regardless, though - my point is there are already going to be boys getting boners in the company of people they might be attracted to, other boys.

PUAs. Where's the funny bit? Clearly not in your head...

Why would we have to do that?

Holy shit, rocket science - I don't think HS boys are smart enough to understand that. /sarcasm

I mean seriously, though, wtf is so hard to understand about having boners not being equal to raping?

In the general populace, sure. In boys' wrestling as it is? Lol
