Murmarations are not flocks of MIGRATORY birds. They are flocks of birds, often murmurating when flying to their night-time roosts. We have large murmurations of starlings in the UK, all year round, because they don’t migrate.

Lots of British names get abbreviated with an s on the end - Rebecca into Becs, William to Wills, Rupert to Rupes etc. It’s a habit especially common among poshos. It’s not just a Diana thing.
