Actually I think it delves closer to Misandry, it assumes that men must be ridiculed  and used as a cheap punchline when not doing something that socially conforms to the ideal man. Be it nerds, rednecks, metal-heads, gamers, anything really. Everyones just too afraid to use that dirty word though.
