As far as functionality goes, yes, that is nicely done. I’m not a fan of how that looks, though. I also don’t like the tacked-on-tablet look either. Look-wise, I really like how my ATS does it:

You can look at that and say nicely done?

For those who really want a 2013 civic

No one co-opts shit unless you let them.

Oh, I know. I saw and appreciated the “don’t touch the cars” piece. Ballaban’s response to it was not helpful.

Carefully. And keep your damn hands in your pockets.

Are you speaking from personal experience with the Focus ST? If not, why do you think it’s unreliable?

They haven’t been called engines in a few decades; they're Natives or Indigenous now.

“But where are you really from?”

Leather, I get. Ask about that.

I’ll speak from the perspective of a FoST owner.

I’ve tried to think of every-which-way this could be a bad take, and it’s not happening. How the heck could it ever be right to touch someone else’s car? If you equate it to any other meaningful belongings of someone, it still feels just as wrong.

On a fundamental level it’s not even about the risk of damage it’s about having simple respect for other people. ‘They probably (let’s be

It’s probably been confiscated a billion times already, but this would be another time where your car enthusiast card should be taken away.

You have no manners or respect for other people or their possessions.  I can’t think of another reason why you think it’s ok to touch other peoples property.

I haven’t seen this mentioned, but I always feel like it’s a nice touch when inspecting rare/valuable/collectible machinery to do so with your hands behind your back. It helps keep that grabby smeary impulse at bay, and makes it clear to the owner, if they are present, that your intentions are to look only.

Putting clothespins on power cords to save money by keeping electricity from escaping as waste is one of the stupidest fucking things I’ve ever heard. If people who believe this have kids that go to your kid’s school, you need to find your kid a new school.
